About Leandra Ryan
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Leandra Ryan has a Bachelor of Science in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. The day after graduating from UT, she moved to Los Angeles. She has since studied at prestigious schools such as Lesly Kahn & Company, Margie Haber Studio, and the Groundlings School. She also graduated from the improv programs at both Upright Citizens Brigade and iO West.
Somewhere along the way, Leandra fell in love with the art of comedy. She co-created the sketch comedy web series Bitch Please, a project that allowed her to be an actor, producer, and writer all at once. She also created, produced, and acted in the all-female live sketch show Pussies Grab Back, which enjoyed a very successful run up until the closing of iO West. Leandra was a cast member on the iO West house sketch team Jeff! and performed regularly in the popular sketch show Top Story! Weekly. When she’s not doing sketch, you can catch her doing stand-up at major comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store, Flappers Comedy Club, and wildly inappropriate children’s birthday parties.
With 35+ film and TV credits, Leandra has been blessed with some amazing opportunities. Her most notable credits include FBI: Most Wanted (CBS), The Blacklist (NBC), Insecure (HBO), and Infernal (Netflix). Leandra’s latest endeavor is her podcast I Have No Friends, a comedic exploration of the sitcom Friends through the eyes of the modern millennial female.
Leandra’s spirit animal is Britney Spears.
